Lisa A. Wright CPA is a Cum Laude graduate of Rowan University with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting. She has over 20 years of experience in the Accounting Industry. Her experience began at Deloitte & Touché, LLP, an international accounting firm. Another significant experience is her tenure at H.J. Russell & Company, a Black Enterprise 100 Company, where she was the Personal Financial Manager for Herman J. Russell Sr., founder and Chairman. Some of her responsibilities included preparation of financial statements for the family trusts and assisting in estate planning updates. Her role as Director of Accounting for New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, a multi-million dollar mega church in Atlanta, allowed her to advise ministers on tax matters and manage an accounting department. Ms. Wright has levied her knowledge and developed her own accounting and business advisory firm, L.A. Wright and Associates, LLC. One of her specializations is the entertainment industry. She has served as Director of Finance for an amphitheatre. She has worked with various entertainers such as Edwin Hawkins, Takes Six and Micah Stampley. Her skills were also utilized by Central City Productions, the producer of the Stellar Awards. Promotions for artists is also a skill that she possesses. She is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. She is also a certified Quick Books Pro Advisor. In addition, Ms. Wright has worked with various non-profit organizations as a financial consultant and or Board Member. She is also a sought after panelist and workshop presenter. Ms. Wright recently completed serving as the Treasurer for the Women In Film and Television Atlanta Chapter for 2009-2010. She also worked as a Production Accountant for a film. One of her passions is to see entrepreneurs realize their financial goals and plan for wealth generation transfer. Another passion is to help ensure that non-profits have the financial expertise available to support them so that they can focus on their primary goal to continue make positive changes in the community.
